When I join a business

I’m usually brought into organisations at moments of complexity — growth, change, integration, or when delivery has started to feel harder than it should.

Sometimes that’s in a permanent role, sometimes on a fixed-term or contract basis, and sometimes for a short, focused piece of work to help clarify a problem or stabilise delivery. The common thread is helping teams move forward with confidence, structure, and shared understanding, without introducing unnecessary process or disruption.

My background spans project and programme leadership, operational delivery, and working closely with senior stakeholders in regulated and fast-moving environments. I’m comfortable stepping between strategic planning and hands-on delivery depending on what the situation calls for.

What I typically focus on

Clarifying delivery and priorities

I help teams and leaders get clear on what really matters, what’s getting in the way, and where focus needs to sit. This often involves untangling overlapping initiatives, unclear ownership, or competing priorities that have built up over time.

Bringing structure without bureaucracy

I introduce lightweight structure where it’s needed — plans, governance, cadence, and decision points — in a way that supports delivery rather than slowing it down. The aim is clarity and momentum, not process for process’ sake.

Aligning teams and stakeholders

I work across product, engineering, data, operations, finance and leadership to create shared understanding and alignment. This includes translating between technical and non-technical stakeholders and ensuring decisions are made with the right context.

Improving ways of working

Where ways of working are informal, undocumented or inconsistent, I work with teams to capture how things actually operate and help evolve them into something clearer and more sustainable — often through operating playbooks, practical guidance, and agreed working norms.

Navigating complex change

I’m often involved in programmes or initiatives where there is ambiguity, delivery risk, or external pressure. My role is to bring order, manage dependencies and risk, and help teams move through change in a controlled and predictable way.

Types of engagement

Permanent or fixed-term leadership

Embedding within an organisation to lead delivery, programmes, or operational change over time, working closely with senior leaders and delivery teams.

Programme or initiative ownership

Taking accountability for a defined programme or critical initiative where focus, coordination and delivery discipline are required.

Short-term assessment or advisory

Time-boxed engagements to assess delivery health, operating risk, or ways of working, with clear findings, recommendations and practical next steps that leaders can act on.

A practical, people-centred approach

I’m known for being calm under pressure, clear in communication, and pragmatic in how I work. I focus on outcomes, not theatre, and I care about leaving teams in a better place than when I arrived — with clearer direction, stronger alignment, and less reliance on individuals holding everything together.
